I can tolerate a lot of things, but I can't stand it when fanfiction writers completely BUTCHER Ed's character or anyone else's for that matter!

I can understand a couple slip-ups in his characterization. I mean, heck, I slip-up with his characterization too! But HONESTLY, some of the stuff I've seen is just.....awful! They have no absolutely no respect for him, don't understand him, or worse; BOTH. I feel like all they see is a hot anime guy with a short temper, and THAT'S...IT.

Ed is SO much more than that and his actions are far more complicated than they give him credit for. He's not just a badass, hot-tempered, shorty; he's stubborn, self-sacrificing, loyal, independent, blunt, cynical, imaptient, both selfless and self-centered, compassionate, and so many other things that would take forever to list too.

Now, do I think this poster of sorts will actually do anything to get people to write better fanfiction? Or course not. The purpose of this was to just get out all my frustration at bad fanfic writers, so I'm not accusing anyone and I'm not trying to offend anyone.

ANYWAY, now that my RANT OF OOC DOOM is over, I'm just going to mention that it was really nice to sit down and draw this today since I'm usually too busy with homework to doodle in PhotoShop. I apologize for my crappy lineart. It's been a few weeks since my last digital drawing.

Also, keep your eyes peeled for some ORIGINAL artwork from me! LOL Despite the fact that I'm not drawing digital art as much, I am taking an art class currently, so there's no shortage of drawings; you just haven't seen them. If you're all interested I'll scan them and post them.

Did I mention that I drew a self-portrait for my art class? If I scan that, then you might all be able to see what I look like! GASP! (Assuming it's pretty accurate, which I think it is. It's the best one I've ever drawn, let's just put it that way. xDDD)
